Another game and more gopher ball problems for Score. It
started well enough as the Tribe staked him to an early 4-1 lead. It
went south in a hurry. A walk and an outfield error set the stage for a
game tying three run Roy Sievers blast in the third. A fourth inning
solo shot by Lyle Luttrell gave the Senators a 5-4 lead.
The Indians were also playing long ball and Al Smith's solo seventh
inning shot tied the game at 5-5. In the top of the ninth Al Rosen came
on to pinch hit for Sam Mele and he crushed a deep shot to right field. Will it clear the fence? The ballpark roll says... yes! The Indians go
on to win a home run derby type game 7-5.
