Astros history project game 10

April 27, 2009

Astros (Roy Oswalt) at Reds (Johnny Cueto)

In real life Roy Oswalt has pretty much owned the Reds, but the table top incarnation of the Reds failed to follow the real life script.

With the Astros leading leading 2-1 in the fourth, the Reds started playing home run derby against Oswalt. Juan Encarnarcion started it with a a two run blast and Alex Gonzalez added the second two run blast of the inning. Encarnarcion was not finished - he launched another shot off Oswalt in the sixth.

The Astros made a bit of a come back with three runs in the eighth, but Francisco Cordero closed them out in the ninth for an 8-5 Reds win.
