The Phillies scored a first inning run off of Wilson, but that's all they would get off him. Meanwhile, Randy Lersh initially baffled the Astros striking out four of the first seven hitters he faced before the Astros figured him out. After scoring three in the third, they sent Lersh to the showers by scoring two more runs in the sixth.
Bob Watson had a another fine game in support of Wilson. He went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI. Roger Metzger went 3 for 5 including two doubles.
