April 23, 1971 vs Expos (Carl Morton)
Wilson
pitched very well with just a minor hiccup in the fourth when he
allowed two runs. Ron Hunt scored on a Rusty Staub double before Jim
Fairey drove in Ron Fairly with the second run. As well as Wilson was
pitching, Carl Morton was even better tossing eight shutout innings
before being relieved by Mike Marshall. Marshall promptly melted down.
Denis Menke led off with a double and then scored on Bob Watson's
triple. Cesar Cedeno's double brought home Bob Watson with the tying run and
Doug Rader with the winning run.
