Chicago at Montreal
Chicago shocked the Habs fans with three first period goals. Two of the goals came on power plays. The Canadiens finally gave the home crowd something to cheer about late in the opening when Geoffrion found the back of the net.
The Canadiens continued to work their way back into the game with two more goals in the second period and we are all tied up at the second intermission.
I'm not sure what got into the Canadiens at intermission, but they came out in the third and started taking a bunch of penalties. Kenny Wharram made them pay for it with a power play goal at 15:31. That would be the decisive goal.
The Habs really shot themselves in the foot with the penalties. Ironically I am using a slightly modified penalty system that should help Montreal, but it did not in the game.
