The Phils were down to their last out when Del Ennis blasted a 3 run homer to beat the Reds.

Cubs (Warren Hacker) at Giants (Al Worthington)
The Giants jump all over Hacker with a homer by Whitey Lockman and two by Hank Thompson. Trailing 7-1 in the eighth, the Cubs make a furious comeback with 3 runs in the eighth. They add 2 more in the ninth before Al Corwin ended the game by striking out Joe Garagiola with the tying run on the third.

Cardinals (Vinegar Bend Mizzell) at Dodgers (Billy Loes)

Gil Hodges pretty much won this game all by himself with a first inning grand slam and a third inning solo shot that accounted for all the Dodger runs.
