The
end of regulation was pretty interesting. The Spirits controlled the
second half, but the Nets started whittling away at the lead. They hit 3
of 4 three pointers down the stretch. Finally, with just three "shots"
left and the Nets trailing 117-120, Julius Erving made a shot and was
fouled. He hit the foul shot to tie the game. The Spirits failed to score on
their final regulation possession as did the Nets.
It was all St. Louis in the overtime as they pull away from the Nets.
